NEWS: INOVEM Collaborate selected by the Society of Radiographers

Online Collaboration INOVEM's online collaboration software will be used to replace the Society's intranet and to empower committee members to work together better, over the Internet, between meetings.

London, UK, May 3rd, 2011 - INOVEM, a provider of online collaboration and consultation software to professional membership associations and the public sector, has been chosen by the Society of Radiographers (SoR) to help manage and increase membership involvement.

Following the award of the contract, Claire Dumbleton, SoR's Knowledge Manager, said "We were looking for a new system to replace our intranet, ideally one which Society committee members could also use to enhance their work. Having looked at an open source option, a free out-of-the-box option and an enterprise option we selected INOVEM Collaborate. It ticked all the boxes for a system which could be set up as we wanted it - an intranet and an online collaboration tool."

John Glover, INOVEM's Sales & Marketing Director, remarked "We are really looking forward to working with Claire and her colleagues, especially as the decision to use INOVEM's online service was strongly supported by the Society's senior executives. With the need to reduce travel budgets and the distribution of vast amounts of paper, we are seeing growing interest from membership bodies that are looking for more cost effective, and environmentally friendly ways to allow their members and staff to share information, discuss ideas and work together to improve professional standards."

With regard to the Society's immediate and future plans Claire explained, "We plan to start slowly, using it as an intranet and a small number of committees to start with, but our vision is to roll it out across the majority of our committees and networks. Our initial work has already generated a lot of enthusiasm among users."
