15th May 2009
INOVEM selected to support ?200m Waste Management Project in Northern Ireland Following an open procurement via the Office of Government Commerce (OGC), INOVEM have been awarded an initial 3 year contract to provide their Bid & Tender Management System to two Waste Management Groups (WMGs) in Northern Ireland. Contracts have been signed by the Department of the Environment on behalf of the North West Regional Waste Management Group (NWRWMG) and the Southern Waste Management Partnership (SWaMP2008). The bid was primed by the Mouchel Consortium, an accredited supplier under the OGC?s Buying Solutions framework.

INOVEM's software will be used by each WMG consortium to support the procurement and EU competitive dialogue contracting process associated with their respective residual waste infrastructure projects. Using the service both WMGs will provide short-listed bidders with their own secure private "data rooms" to collaborate and consult on specifications, contracts and project deliverables during each stage of the selection process. In addition, the service will be used to support a public notice board, a variety of advisory project development teams, the core project teams as well as stakeholder governance.

EASE-OF-USE AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT IMPORTANT

Ciaran Cunningham, Communications Manager with the Waste Infrastructure Programme Delivery Support Unit, commented "We were very impressed with the ease-of-use and flexibility of the solution provided by INOVEM and their reputation for excellent customer support which was reinforced by positive feedback from the INOVEM public sector clients we called. We were also very impressed by the speed with which INOVEM reacted. Training and consultancy were quickly programmed in so that both SWaMP2008 and NWRWMG can "go live" within 4 weeks."

Penny Ericson, Mouchel Consortium Director, said "We are delighted to be working with INOVEM in support of this large infrastructure project in Northern Ireland. We believe that INOVEM's track-record in supplying e-consultation and e-collaboration software to the public sector adds depth to the solutions that can be provided by Mouchel and our other consortium partners."
